It is important that you decline your admission offer if you do not wish to attend the course.

Welcome to the course Risk and environmental issues from a health perspective (15 ECTS)
We wish you a warm welcome to the course in Risk and Environmental Issues from a health perspective. The course will begin on the 1st of September 2020 at 13:15. Due to the pandemic the course will be held online and the introduction session will be held on Zoom. The course will be run as a part time course (50%) with online meetings and Zoom sessions. The overall objective of the course is to determine how the concepts of risk, health and the environment relate to each other. The course also has the ambition to account for environmental risks, sanitation and health in society, as well as discuss the importance of these knowledge applicability to society, in a national and international perspectives.
A schedule with more detailed information usually published two weeks before the course starts. Note that all schedules before that are preliminary. We will use Canvas as the course platform. You will be able to access Canvas after registering yourself in the course.The Canvas page opens about a week before the course starts.
Due to the current pandemic the information you have received may change, we therefore urge you to keep informed as the course start and fall semester approaches. You will not receive any notifications when changes are made, it is your responsibility to keep informed by regularly checking the published information here. Dates and times can be altered until week 34, meaning two weeks ahead of the course start. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Corona virus - On-campus and distance teaching
If you are admitted to a course or programme taught on campus this autumn it may be necessary for you to study both at the university and through distance teaching. The recommendations of The Public Health Agency of Sweden also apply to Karlstad University – stay at home if you are even the slightest ill, wash your hands and keep the distance.
Stay outside as much as possible and avoid large gatherings. The map will help you find your way to the right building.
Your schedule will be published two weeks before the commencement of the course, at the latest. You will then also receive further information about times, rooms, teaching and how exams will be carried out for your specific course/programme.
