Welcome to English Literature before 1800!
This module is part of English B and can be taken as part of a programme or as an independent course. The module is structured as a historical overview of English fiction before 1800, with a focus on British and American literature. Students read selected works of fiction which are related to social and historial contexts through parallel study of literary, cultural, and political developments, especially in Great Britain and the US.
Attendance is not mandatory.
