Introductory information for students admitted to Karlstad University.
It is important that you read all the information.

Before you begin your studies, you need to:

2. Register for your course

What is KauID? KauID is your digital identity at Karlstad University that allows you to log in to our digital services.

If you have studied at Kau before you do not have to create a new KauID, you can use the same KauID as last time.

2. Register for your course

You need to register on time, not to risk losing your place on the course.
Registration period: 2021-05-31 - 2021-06-07
Log in to My Kau using your KauID to register.

What is My Kau? My Kau is a personal digital service for students at Karlstad University.

It is important that you decline your admission offer if you do not wish to attend the course.

If you have been admitted late, and therefore can´t register on time, contact the administrator.

Corona virus - On-campus and distance teaching

If you are admitted to a course or programme taught on campus, it may be necessary for you to study both at the university and through distance teaching. The recommendations of The Public Health Agency of Sweden also apply to Karlstad University – stay at home if you are even the slightest ill, wash your hands and keep the distance. Your schedule will be published two weeks before the commencement of the course, at the latest. You will then also receive further information about times, rooms, teaching and how exams will be carried out for your specific course/programme.

Stay outside as much as possible and avoid large gatherings. The map will help you find your way to the right building.

    Go to Canvas

    In the course, we use the learning platform Canvas. Canvas is a tool that offers a digital learning environment.
    Once you have registered for your course in My Kau, you can log in to Canvas and access important course information.
