What is KauID? KauID is your digital identity at Karlstad University that allows you to log in to our digital services.If you have studied at Kau before you do not have to create a new KauID, you can use the same KauID as last time.
2. Register for your course
You need to register on time, not to risk losing your place on the course.Registration period: 2024-03-18 - 2024-03-25

What is My Kau? My Kau is a personal digital service for students at Karlstad University.
It is important that you decline your admission offer if you do not wish to attend the course.
If you have been admitted late, and therefore can´t register on time, contact the administrator.
Welcome to the course on Intercultural business communication!
The course begins on Monday 25th of March at 10.15. We want to inform you that this course will be delivered in hybrid-asynchronous format. Combining both online and in-person components.
Here is a brief overview of how the course will work:
- Course format: The course will be divided into two parts. The classes will be conducted online through Zoom and Canvas, as well as in the classroom.
- Attendance: Please be aware that all in-person and Zoom meetings will not be recorded. Since you have enrolled in the distance course, your primary mode of attendance will be via Zoom. You can access these sessions through the course website on Canvas. However, if you prefer to attend in person, you are more than welcome to do so. Detailed information about the schedule and the physical locations for the classes can be found in TimeEdit.
- Class schedule: Our first class on 25th of March will be conducted exclusively on Zoom. The class on 26th of March will be available both on Campus and through Zoom. Visit TimeEdit for an overview of all your classes. Zoom links will be provided via Canvas.
- Study guide and course outline: A week before the course officially begins, you will gain access to the Study guide and course outline, as well additional information on Canvas. Your Study guide is a comprehensive document which will help you navigate and succeed in the course. You will find course content, contact information, assessment methods and due dates. Your course outline will provide you with an outline of the weekly topics, readings, and classes.
- Group assignments: To facilitate collaborative work, please ensure you introduce yourself on Canvas in our presentation thread during the first week of the course. Your presentation is the “key” to being assigned to a group in which you will be working in throughout the course.
