Welcome to the course Language and Gender!

The course studies and contrasts research on language and gender, both contemporary and historical, with a focus on both theoretical and methodological approaches. The overall focus of the course is how gender is reflected in and constructed through language use. The course also covers key theories and methods of analysis, and in the teaching sessions, students will have the opportunity to practice hands-on analysis using spoken and written language.

Course teachers are Erica Sandlund (erica.sandlund@kau.se) and Peter Wikström (peter.wikstrom@kau,se ). The course is offered as a distance course via Zoom. A detailed schedule with preparations will be available in Canvas before the start of the course.
